Tips on Decorating a Family Bathroom

Updated: Oct 11, 2022

Decorating a Family Bathroom

  • Medicine and cleaning materials are best stored away from children in lockable cupboards and cabinets;

  • Locks on windows and reduction of objects with sharp edges will help maintain safety;

  • Non-slip mats and grab rails are useful for both the elderly and children;

  • Twin wash basins and a large mirror are ideal for large families to enable many people to use the bathroom at the same time;

  • A screen or curtain around the water closet will provide privacy especially for sensitive growing children. A separate WC from the bathroom is a good idea if you have a really large family;

  • Decorations need not be too childish. Think years ahead and decorate with replaceable items. eg shower curtains in botanical prints will please everyone;

  • Have you ever been in a rush and had to wipe your hands with a damp towel? Consider a heated towel rail for the comfort of your whole family, especially during the cold, rainy weather.

  • Decorate with plenty of mirrors to increase the visual size of your family bathroom.
