About the Recipe
Pizza is one of the hors-d'oeuvres that you can serve either as meal or as a snack. These nutritious pizzas can be served at one of your parties or even at the wedding, if you happen to have an Italian theme or you just love pizza.
Ingredients
Bread Dough
400 grams plain white flour
250 ml water
1 teaspoon sugar
7 grams dried yeast
25 grams butter/margarine
.5 teaspoon of salt
Topping
200 grams of cooked, shredded chicken
8 tomatoes peeled and sliced
200 grams of mozarella cheese
4 table spoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of butter/margarine
1 large white or purple onion peeled and sliced
1 large green pepper deseeded and slices
Preparation
Making the Pizza Dough
Step One
Warm the water in a sauce pan. Mix in the sugar and sprinkle the dried yeast into the sweetened water. Put aside in a warm place to activate the yeast.
In a mixing bowl, rub butter/margarine into the warmed four. Add the salt.
Add the yeast mixture to the flour. Mix well into the dough.
Cover the dough and put it in a warm plae. Let the dough rise to double its size.
Knead the dough until it is smooth and firm.
Step Two
Divide the dough into four balls.
Roll out each and place into 4 greased round 20 cm baking tins;
Put the dough in a warm place so as to rise for about 30 minutes;
Top the dough with the cheese, tomatoes, onions, green pepper and chicken;
Over each pizza, pour/drizzle one tablespoon of olive oil and dot with butter/margarine;
Bake for 20 - 30 minutes at 230 degrees centrigrade;
Cut the pizzas up into smaller pieces and serve
