Mount Kenya Honeymoon Destinations

Spend one night at The Treetops. Arrive in time for tea and make sure you stay up late till mid-night to view the animals as they congregate at the drinking/water hole. Enjoy a honeymoon breakfast in bed the following morning as the staff make you feel like a King and Queen.

Later in the day, transfer to the Outspan 2 km from Nyeri Town which is set amidst beautiful country in a lush tropical garden set within old style colonial buildings. It boasts newly decorated comfortable accommodation in twin beds or double rooms in garden suites or cottages. Each of the 45 rooms has a fireplace.

Activities to enjoy here are many; For sports lovers there is swimming; For the active there is squash, tennis and golf. If you are an old Girl Guide, Brownie or Boy Scout, a visit to the Paxtu cottage where Lord Baden Powell and his wife lived will be a worthwhile experience.

Book a game drive into the Aberdares National Park, where you can view birds and enjoy the fresh mountain air. Alternatively, you could join in a Gikuyu traditional “mugithi” dance (or start your own!) at one of the local restaurants like the Banana Leaf. Later, you could visit a tea or coffee farm nearby.
