A Red Ribbon for Love and Unity

During a wedding in China, one of the family members, usually the mother of the bride or the mother of the groom, ties together a goblet of honey and a goblet of wine with a red ribbon. The bride and groom each take a sip from each goblet. As they did this, they symbolize a union of love.
