Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort & Spa Named as the Leading Resort 2023 Kenya by World Luxury Hotel Awards

Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort and Spa was voted as Kenya's leading beach resort in 2023. The World Luxury Hotel Awards ceremony for Africa and the Indian Ocean was held on 15th October 2023 at Atlantis The Royal located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Other Kenyan hotel nominees in the same category of beach resorts and spas included Baobab, Diamonds Dream of Africa, Diani Reef, Hemingsway, Kinondo Kwetu, Ocean Sports Resort Watamu, PrideInn Paradise, Swahili Beach and Voyager.

Winners are chosen based on reviews from guests of a nominated hotel. Awards are given to countries followed by winners competing for regional or continental awards. Winners have a chance of gaining a global title.

Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort and Spa was the winner in two categories, namely "Best Luxury Family Beach Resort in Africa" and "Best Luxury Beachfront Resort in East Africa."

The resort is located on Bamburi Beach which can be accessed from the Mombasa-Malindi highway on the North Coast of Kenya. The resort and spa sit on 23 acres of prime beach front land overlooking the Indian Ocean. It has the longest beach front on the North Coast of Mombasa giving the discerning visitor a spectacular view of its well manicured gardens and the Indian Ocean.

The hotel buildings are of Arabic architecture. Its 340 rooms all have balconies with views of the garden and the ocean. Visitors can enjoy a variety of meals offered on the premises. From Italian to Continental and African Swahili traditional dishes. Activities here include swimming, rejuvenation at the wellness spa and diving and snorkling expeditions out into the ocean on hired boats.
