Whether this is your first marriage or your second marriage, you have a new love to celebrate and an exciting new life to look forward to. The first thing the two of you will need to do is announce your engagement.

So as not to upset anyone, the first people you should tell are your parents. If you live close to each other, visit them with your intended spouse. The brides parents are usually visited first, followed by the grooms parents. Later on, organize an intimate dinner party when the two sides of the family can get to know each other better.

Once your family members know about the impending nuptials, you can now go ahead and let the whole world know. Tell your siblings, friends and coworkers.
